Traditional Chinese Knot Making Pre-Event Activity

Chinese knotting, also known as Zhōngguó Jié (中国结), is a traditional decorative handcraft with roots tracing back to ancient China. Originating from early knot-tying practices and later refined during the Tang and Song dynasties, Chinese knots are rich in symbolism and cultural meaning.

Often associated with good fortune, unity, and longevity, each knot is meticulously crafted using a single cord, forming intricate patterns without breaks. Today, Chinese knotting remains a popular folk art, especially during festive celebrations and cultural events.

Bring this meaningful tradition to your event with our Chinese Knotting pre-event activity, where guests can watch or participate in the creation of beautifully handcrafted Chinese knots. Each completed knot serves as a symbolic and decorative keepsake for guests to take home.
